Trauma Informed Thrive Membership

Trauma Informed Teaching in Remote Classrooms

This week members in the Thrive Intensive are learning and collaborating around becoming trauma informed and catering for special needs in remote communities.

Our First Nations Australians have tens of thousands of years- or back to Creation- of intergenerational strengths. They also have over two hundred years of intergenerational trauma. The impact of subsequent Government policies can still be deeply felt in communities today. So being trauma informed and prepares is really important for new remote teachers.

This week members in the Thrive Intensive will also learn about other special needs including FASD, Otitis Media and many more. They will end the week feeling more empowered to cater for the diverse needs of their remote outback students.
